Mom

 My mom visited us last week and went back to LA on Sunday.  I had such a great time with her.  We got free veggie burgers at Northstar for Earth Day.  Among other things, W, mom and I took a nice walk Saturday morning along the reservoir and discovered some cool new spots that I want to explore more with W.

Cleveland trip

W and I took a one night trip to Cleveland last month.  It was refreshing to get away, even for 48 hours.  The highlight was going to the West Side Market, as shown in the photos above.  The next roadtrip will be Cincinnati.

Another year has gone by and sometimes I can't believe I'm 32!

Franklin Park Conservatory

A few weeks ago we finally went over to the Franklin Park Conservatory, and I got membership, which means I can go anytime and bring a friend along.  It was nice to be among plants and flowers, especially in the middle of winter when there's nothing but snow and bare trees outside.  They have orchids in the winter so we enjoyed that a lot.

Late lunch

Since it's almost dinner time, I'm sticking with a light lunch today: multi-grain bread topped with pesto we made last night and prosciutto.  A side of mini heirloom tomatoes and two slices of brie.

Rest

I went to the conservatory again on Sunday and had a few hours of solitude there.  It was refreshing.  I think I will make it a habit, especially as I got a membership.

Almost the weekend...

Here's a little pre-weekend pick me up.  After a short lived warm spell, we got cold weather and snow this week.  But it rained today so things are starting to look up.  This is a shot from our weekend trip to the conservatory.
