Cousins came

My cousins came to visit at the end of January. It was fun to see them, show them Denver and go skiing together. We usually do a cousins trip every December, but with lots of babies in the family 2012 was the first year we didn't do one. So this was kind of a mini cousins trip.

I'm so grateful to have people in my life who've known me my entire life. They've seen me through all seasons of life.

Janice got married!

W's sister Janice got married in February! She asked me to be the day-of coordinator so I nervously said yes. My cousin Tim came to back me up since he had experience coordinating and I had none. Everything went well and I really enjoyed coordinating.

11th annual cousins trip

I can't believe it's been 11 years!  We went to an awesome house in Palm Springs this year. It was the most relaxing time...

W and Jacob playing Kinect. I got addicted to this game. It's so fun.

Karaoke. Me bumming while Jacob and Tim sing their hearts out to some cheesy love song.

Annual gift exchange.  This year was white elephant themed.  Lots of laughs.  W's gift won for best gift (meaning most hilarious).

Congratulations to my mom

After taking classes part time for 7 years at APU, my mom graduated and received her masters in theology.  I'm so proud of her and she's an example to me as I go back to school.  This break, I had to a chance to remember what an amazing woman my mom is.  She's so gifted, loving and generous.  I have a lot to learn from her.  Congratulations, um-ma!  I love you.

the fourth

my cousins came into town for 6 days last week, over the 4th of july holiday. i had such a great time with them. they pretty much hit all the chicago hot spots: the taste of chicago, architectural boat tour, signature room, steak house, chicago style pizza, chicago style hot dogs, shedd aquarium, north michigan ave, fireworks at grant park and my favorite dessert shop. some of them even did a long run with me by the lake.

also, i went to my first cubs game. yay!

it was so good to be around people who know me and who i have a long history with. some of my cousins even remember me from when i got off the plane when my family immigrated from korea when i was 2 years old.

i was really sad when they left. and then i rented marley & me the movie and bawled through the whole thing.
